Why animated videos are an effective tool to deliver your message

One of the most powerful tools a business can use for advertising is video. It can introduce people to your product or service in a way that a brochure or website simply cannot. Furthermore, video allows you to show off your personality to potential customers in a way that will engage them and keep them interested. Video has the potential to reach a much wider audience than print advertising.

Text images, printed media vs Video

In recent years, there has been a marked shift away from printed media towards video, very much so after the pandemic. This is especially evident when looking at younger generations, who are far more likely to consume video content than read newspapers or magazines. There are a number of reasons for this change, including the fact that videos can be more easily shared online and tend to be more engaging than text-based content. Additionally, the rise of mobile devices and apps like TikTok has made it easier to watch videos on the go.

Show off your brand personality and relate to your customers.

Video is a powerful way to inspire viewers, establish a personal connection with them on an emotional level, and drive sales. The following are three reasons why video advertising can be highly effective:

- Video allows you to connect with your audience on an emotional level.

- People are more likely to watch a video than reading text-based content.

- it's shareable; which means you reach a wider audience.

First impressions matter

Though our perceptions of the world are unique, there are certain things that unite us — basic emotions and strong associations. We all express ourselves differently, whether in visual or verbal form, but it’s important to note that a brand can be seen in different lights. Animated videos are a perfect way to encode specific feelings and positive associations about a company. Visualized as a cartoon, they are especially effective and powerful.

And when it comes to finding something memorable, nothing can beat a fun, animated character. These characters evoke a range of emotions and associations in the audience, and when paired with an amazing plot and other exciting visuals, a video becomes truly unforgettable.

Selling without selling

One of the major problems when trying to advertise one’s product or service is that people don’t want to be too obvious about their marketing strategies. They hate being sales pitched and feel pressured to buy your product or service. This can lead to what we call “advertising fatigue”. That’s why animation is such a great way to promote your product or service. When the public sees an animated video, they know they won’t be a very blatant advertisement and it doesn’t matter how much promotion you put in. You can show your product briefly in the video as the best solution to their problem, but it is not necessary. Animation is used to entertain customers and make them interested in your brand.

Once they visit your website to learn more about your company, they will naturally stay behind the video and it will have done its job.

Cost effective

Let’s be honest here - live-action videos are expensive. For instance, there are constant associated expenses. You’ll need to pay for actors, scout for locations, organize props, schedule production time and post production. But that’s not all: editing or tweaking the content can be a tough job. Animated videos solve a lot of this hassle. You can simply get in touch with a design agency or animator to reduce some of the cost and manage even the small details until the last minute. Live videos have to stick to decisions made prior to shooting, but with animated videos you can change the storyline, character details or setting without affecting the project scope or budget.

Video is one of the most captivating way to reach your customers. It provides a depth and reality that other mediums can’t. Animations are mesmerizing because they bring back memories of childhood cartoons, while also teaching us something new.
